米Citrix、クラウド管理フレームワーク「CloudStack」のエンタープライズ版をオープンソース版に統合

米Citrix Systemsは8月28日（米国時間）、クラウド管理フレームワーク「CloudStack」のエンタープライズ版とオープンソース版を統合すると発表した。これらが統合された最新版はGPL 3で提供される。最新プレビュー版はCloudStackプロジェクトのWebサイトより入手できる。　CloudStackは、Cloud.comが開発したクラウド管理フレームワーク。Javaで作成されており、クラウドコンピューティングインフラを管理できる。XenServer、Xen Cloud Platformに加え、VMware、KVMなどのハイパーバイザーをサポート、Web、コマンドライン、RESTful APIの3つの手段を提供する。Citrixは、7月にCloud.comを買収することでCloudStackを手に入れた。

Adrian Cole が JClouds 1.0 のリリースをアナウンス

新しい JClouds 1.0 リリースの目標は、多くのベンダー、プロバイダー、IaaS から PaaSまでのフレームワークとAPIを跨いだ、計算ノードとストレージノードを管理する共通のインターフェースを提供することだ、と JCloudsの設立者である Adrian Cole氏が言っている。

ElasticStack wants to power your organization’s cloud

ElasticStack has been working on an open stack of software to help service providers and organizations start up their own clouds since 2008. The company has seen some success in Europe and recently (June 2010) entered the U.S. market. ElasticStack is offering a turnkey set of tools that includes a brandable control panel and billing system, cluster management API making it possible for customers to customize how an ElasticStack Cloud is seen by users and a KVM-based virtual server environment. In essence, all a service provider or large company needs to do is add their favorite industry standard systems, stir and they have their own cloud computing environment.
